Description: he TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) programme aims to develop a transport corridor between Europe, the Caucasus and Asia.

Route:

Europe → Black Sea (Georgian ports: Batumi, Poti) → Georgia → Azerbaijan → Caspian Sea → Central Asia.

Significance: Georgia is a key link in this corridor, providing access to the Black Sea and further to Europe.

Description:: The corridor links the countries of Northern Europe, Russia, Iran and India.

The route through Georgia: Russia → Georgia → Armenia → Iran.

Significance: Georgia provides an alternative route for cargoes travelling from Russia to Iran and onwards to South Asia.

Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline: transports oil from Azerbaijan through Georgia to Turkey.
